Happy New Year

Well, look at me! I started this little slice of the internet quite a while ago but kind of forgot it was even here until recently. With all the craziness going on in the world I allowed myself to get sucked into getting sidetracked from what I truly enjoy spending my free time on but that is about to change.

Out with the old!

I’ve managed to ditch a few of the things I called “time-sucks” (namely Facebook and Twitter). Most people call it social media but I have found these becoming more and more anti-social but that is a whole different story.

I am working on getting myself organized since my family and I moved. Now that we have moved closer to Dayton, Ohio I can spend less time commuting to my full-time job. This, in the long run, allows me a little more time after work. I still have other obligations but will at least be able to find a little time here and there. Ditching a few bad habits such as the aforementioned time-sucks will allow a little more time creating.

In with the new!

So, with that little bit said, it is nice to meet you. I am looking forward to this new (well, new-to-me) form of social media where I can share some of my work. I hope you enjoy the pieces I share and don’t hesitate to comment or share with others. I started spending a lot more time recently with the WordPress Reader too and have already found several blogs to follow and have been enjoying the positive interactions and hope that continues as I keep learning more about blogging.

I hope everyone reading this has a safe and happy 2022!

My New Year Resolutions (in no particular order)

  • Just start making something on a regular basis. Thanks to Streets of Nuremberg for this bit of inspiration.
  • Begin building my own “Inspiration Library”. Wandering Ambivert provided me some fantastic tips to get this going.
  • Re-Establish my Faith. Thanks to the WordPress Reader, I came across Drawing Closer to Christ and was encouraged and reminded that there are still many things to be thankful for. Even through these past couple of crazy years.
